Wedding Planning Stress – 5 Tips To Help You Relax

Weddings are joyful, extremely emotional and life changing events. Wedding planning stress is a great deal to handle while maintaining your every day life.

Below you’ll find 5 helpful tips that every bride should remember so she can look and feel her best during the last few months or weeks leading up to her special day.

Get Plenty of Sleep

Wedding planning stress can cause numerous issues when it comes to getting to sleep or staying asleep.  Lack of sleep can affect your energy, mood, productivity, and even your skin.

To help you get more relaxed, try turning off all electronics and avoid all wedding talk an hour before bed.  Doing this allows you to unwind and do something you enjoy.  Take advantage of this time by reading that book you’ve been meaning to get to, listen to your favorite music, or have a pleasant conversation with your fiance or best friend.  Remember to avoid any topics pertaining to your wedding or wedding planning.

Get Physical

You may be thinking to yourself that since you already have a million things to think about with wedding planning, why would you want to add one more thing.  Another perspective is instead of considering physical activity as a task that you must do, find something that you enjoy doing.  If you enjoy walking, then set a goal to walk 30 minutes per day.  Maybe you enjoy taking a spin class at your local gym.  Doing physical activities that you enjoy will not only make you feel better, you’ll look better also.

Stay Hydrated

Drinking plenty of water can prevent stress from taking a toll on your body.  Staying hydrated throughout the day can help keep your skin clear saving you from an acne breakout on your wedding day. Find a favorite water bottle to help remind you to drink water all through the day.  You will stay healthy, focused and ready to conquer anything.

When You Feel Stressed, Talk About It

When wedding planning stress starts getting to you, don’t keep things bottled up inside.  Talk to someone!  You have people in your life that love and want to help you.  Whether it’s your fiance, bridesmaids, family or any other support you have, let them know when something is bothering you.  Handing off small tasks to your loved ones can be a huge weight lifted from your shoulders.

Me Time

Make sure to allow some time for yourself.  It’s important to remember that when it comes to your happiness and relieving stress, doing something you really enjoy is essential.  Maybe it’s doing your favorite hobby, watching your favorite show, or anything that makes you happy.
